Getting Started: What’s the First Step?

The first step toward recovery with CommonHealth Recovery starts with a simple call to (502) 661-1444 or by using our online contact form. Our compassionate admissions team will guide you through scheduling initial assessments designed to swiftly and effectively remove barriers to treatment, particularly for those covered by Kentucky Medicaid, Medicare, or commercial insurance.

Your initial appointments include:

  • Biopsychosocial Assessment: Conducted by licensed clinicians, this assessment explores your mental health, medical history, substance use, and family background. This comprehensive evaluation helps us create a personalized recovery plan tailored specifically to your needs. Learn more about our biopsychosocial assessments.

  • Case Management Resource Assessment: Our dedicated case managers assist in identifying non-clinical needs such as housing, transportation, employment, and childcare, ensuring you have full support throughout your recovery journey. Discover more about case management services.

Our admissions process is straightforward and supportive:

  • Initial Phone Screening: Our intake specialists gather necessary information and promptly schedule your initial assessments.

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Includes mental health, substance use, and resource evaluation to fully understand your unique situation.

  • Medical Evaluation: If medications like Suboxone, Sublocade, or Vivitrol are indicated, you’ll consult with our experienced medical providers.

  • Personalized Treatment Plan: Together, we create a customized treatment plan based on your assessments to effectively address your recovery needs.

I would like very much to say that the staff at Common Health Recovery have really been very helpful to me during my recovery. I have to say that I have been a patient 😌 for about 4 years and still I feel the same. I believe anyone who considers a recovery center won't go wrong with common health recovery center. I also have one more thing to say about the suboxone, not only do i pray that anyone who's an recovering addict, but any one in pain, should really consider this medication because it is a God send. I thought I wouldn't ever recover. But it WILL work if you work it!!! Truth!!! Lol!
