ACTIVE PARENTING PROGRAM

Parenting Counseling Program Empowering Parents Through the Active Parenting Curriculum

At CommonHealth Recovery, we are dedicated to helping parents build stronger, healthier relationships with their children through our Parenting Counseling Program. This 12-week program uses the nationally recognized Active Parenting curriculum, which is designed to guide parents through the challenges of raising children in the early years and middle childhood.

About the  Active Parenting Curriculum

Our program incorporates two evidence-based Active Parenting curriculums:

  • First Five Years of Parenting
This portion of the curriculum focuses on parents with children aged 0-5. It covers topics such as child development, effective discipline techniques, and how to create a nurturing environment during these formative years.

  • Ages 5 to 12
For parents of older children, this curriculum addresses the developmental changes that occur during middle childhood. It emphasizes communication, building self-esteem, and teaching responsibility as children grow.
